The way that we distribute our piece has a very big effect on what we film and also how we film the piece. For example a film that is dedicated to raising awareness of a cause would be more likely to appear on the internet on websites such as www.youtube.com. However this film would not be suitable for Long shots or Extreme long shots as the screen size would be too small. For a film festival the piece would try to showcase the talent of someone i.e. an upcoming actor. So it would focus more on the performance of the actor.
The audience affects the distribution method also. If the film was to be addressed to a younger generation the film is more likely to be posted on the internet. However the audience will also affect the content of the film. If the film is to shown to minors it must not contain any explicit content and would have to have certain elements that attract the audience i.e. characters, colours, costume etc.
